Subhash Puranik: President and CEO
With now over 30 years of experience in Metallurgy, Subhash ventured into the manufacturing trade in 2000. In the last decade he has seen his business, Worldwide Materials Sourcing (W.M.S), grow and be established as an international powerhouse in supplying products for the Oil & Gas, as well as Power Transmission companies. .
In 2008, he capitalized on the opportunity to enter the fast-growing Information Technology arena by starting Worldwide Infosoft Services (W.I.S.), hoping to explore and ascend beyond current IT expectations.
Subhash holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (Mumbai). After having applied his skills initially with Kirloskar Brothers, within one year he immigrated to Houston, Texas to expand his career prospects abroad. As general manager of Progressive Pvt. Ltd. for nearly a decade, and then as Head Product Metallurgist for Wyman Gordon for 13 years, he brings to W.I.S. the impressive attributes and strive-for-success attitude of a charismatic leader.
When he’s not tied up in his businesses, Subhash is an avid athlete, investor, and traveler. One of his passions is cricket, where he excelled in at the high school and collegiate level. He has traveled all over the world including China, Europe, Japan, and Africa. His goal is to one day visit every country in the world, confident in taking his companies’ name with him worldwide.
Vipul Tamhane: Director, Sales, Marketing and Communication
Vipul has a strong and varied experience of more than 11 years in IT, ITES, Management and Technology Industries which has led large and diversified teams in various capacities around the globe. He is a co-founder and Director of Sales & MarCom for Worldwide Infosoft Services Pvt. Ltd. and is jointly responsible for Business Development and Strategic Alliances and Operations. He is responsible for the company’s Sales, Business Development, and Client Relationship Management across all industries and geographies.
Vipul holds a Bachelors degree in Science majoring in Mathematics. He also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration majoring in International Business and minor in Finance from renowned Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies. His second Masters degree comes in the form of LLM focusing on International Commercial Law from Northumbria University based at Newcastle upon Tyne (UK). He has subject specializations in International Sales Contracts, Cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions and EU Trade Law pertaining majorly into IT & BFSI Sector in EU and Americas.
He brings from his rich experience a prime foray of Market involvement in South East Asia, MENA and Nordic region for
International Channel Development & Strategic Collaboration. He has held office with a capacity of Manager of International Relations at Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Western India Council which is the bilateral trade facilitating body committed to the development of Indo-US business relations linking trade communities of the aforesaid nations. His experience includes managing Sales and Business Development activities in organization like Datamatics Global Services Ltd., Infrasoft Technologies Ltd., Adventity Inc. (now a Sutherland Company) etc.
Vipul’s constant endeavor is to find innovative means to explore the markets to find a niche offering and achieve business excellence. He loves biking, paragliding and Art of Bonsai. He holds a Black Belt in Tai Shin Jutsu a Chinese form of martial art. He keeps himself off with the sales obesity and stress by swimming.
Vipul is an avid traveler and wish to swell up his passport like a fat opera singer.
Amol Vaidya : Director Technology
Amol is an ace Technology Administration and software development professional heading WIS’s entire IT operations including
Information Systems, IT Security Governance, Infrastructure Management Services and Systems Technology. He is also responsible for Technical Positioning & Product conceptualizing with End-to-end Product development and Client servicing. He is a co-founder and Director of Technology for Worldwide Infosoft Services Pvt. Ltd.
Amol who is certified on various technologies like Microsoft & Sun Microsystems holds a Bachelors and Masters degree of in Computer Science. Amol has managed projects with teams in Japan at Hitachi Joho and Volvo IT on varied technologies. Amol has strong work experience on Localization of applications. He has experience with ITIL and setting up of Service Desk teams.
Amol is an avid Blogger and a regular contributor to a number of online publications. Amol is fluent with Business and colloquial Japanese as he has worked with Japanese companies for more than 5 years.
Apart from his binary world, Amol likes to play flute and badminton hobbies. He was the captain of Maharashtra table tennis team. Amol is one of the few Indians to Scale Mt. Fuji twice!
