How cool it would have been if you were born on 10/10/10 at the time 10:10:10 , also to share the birthday with Intellectual, Legendary British Prime Minister, ‘Winston Churchill’ and Bollywood Actress ‘Rekha’.
Worldwide Infosoft Services Pvt. Ltd. (WIS) unveiled their Official Mascot on Sunday, 10th October in a corporate event as a step of their brand awareness drive.
The unveiling of brilliantly carved 5ft embodiment of the mascot character was done by Hon’ble Secretary General of Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI), Mr. Prafulla Mokashi who also has headed Indo American Chambers of Commerce (IACC), Pune Chapter in the past. “Over the last couple of decades IT industry has chiseled the Indian corporate industry to the excellence, this character can be also used to tackle some very pressing issues in our community and utilize the power of IT industry to influence positive change in our community, not only with technology but also with a positive corporate ethos” offered Mr. Mokashi
"The new mascot will be the face of our organisation for some very exciting initiatives of which we're about to embark upon" said Mr. Subhash Puranik, MD & Chairman of WIS.
"He will personify our company’s youthful spirit and become the central focus of our marketing efforts” said Vipul Tamhane, Director of Sales & Marcom, WIS. Vipul with his partner Amol Vaidya, Director of Technology, WIS are the ones who have conceptualized and brought to life this unique character.
The team presented a brief showcase about the ideology right from conceiving to the final cut of the mascot. Excitement in the air noted the team’s participation of this development slash success story as this will now appear in different outfits and actions for different Indian festivals and varied community messages resulting into adaption of Pune’s true corporate essence.
The Team hoped for blessings and even a name for this newborn by HH Dalai Lama as he was in Punyanagari when the Mascot was taking birth.

Western Region Meet in Pune on 29th September 2010

The Western Region members met at St. Laurn hotel, Koregaon Road, Pune on 29th September 2010 in good numbers.
The meet, as is the practice to take turns in hosting, was hosted by Mr. P. S. Subramaniam from India Forge & Drop Stampings Ltd. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Asheet Pasricha, Chairman, Finance & admin. Committee and attended by Western India Forging Ltd., Pune, Kalyani Thermal Systems Ltd. Varsha Forgings Ltd., Bharat Forge ltd., Kalyani Forge Ltd. along with several other important members of western region. To add more value to each of the Western Region Meetings, as is the practice, the secretariat arranged presentation by Worldwide Infosoft Services Pvt. Ltd. (WIS) on their ERP product for Forging Industry. More details of their product and its benefits have been discussed in the report.

Worldwide Infosoft Services Pvt. Ltd. (WIS) presented their premium ERP product for Forging Industry namely viz. WISedge Forge. This product was appreciated by the members present, as they could relate it with the end to end forging process.
The product allured the forum portraying its capabilities in Sales, Purchase, PPC, production, quality and reports for Excise and Inventory. The finale of the presentation was dedicated to Q & A with representatives of WIS lead by Mr. Vipul V. Tamhane, Director of Sales & Marketing.
The members at the table responded with their individual requirements, also with guidance for further development of the ERP and the upcoming Web Version displaying their true industry spirit and growth oriented motivation. It seemed to be an evening well blended with functionality and technology.
